I think this can be considered my television debut 😭😭
it became a part of who I am when I was 11 years old, but my mom said that I was a dancer before I could walk (the story goes, as an immobile toddler, whenever a beat came on I wouldn’t stop bouncing to it)

My first step into the world of theatre in 2015!
I had to dig deep for these...

I am currently a J2 student in ACJC. My subject combination is HELm! In my spare time I learn French on duolingo (he's not scary at all you guys) and I love watching youtube videos ranging from movie analysis to vlogs that are the epitome of the life I imagine myself to live someday.

In school, I joined Guitar Ensemble CCA, to broaden my skills in musical instruments and surround myself with musicians. That was how I met Jovan, the guitarist of fourfit!

Practicing...

A candid shot my friend took while I was practicing. I was caught off-guard lol.

— How did you begin?
The dream of becoming a singer began when I was in primary school. The first closest opportunity I had to singing on stage was participating in my school's musical. I got a main role, and from then on continued on with theatre, both contemporary and musical.
The first time I ever directed and choreographed a performance. A little thing about me is I have streak of control freak within me. I was determined to do everything on my own, which resulted in tons of stress and unhappiness, something I highly don't recommend. Teachers and friends gave ideas which made the whole process lighter and the end product much more enjoyable. Moral of the story: collaborate and work with others whenever you can! I don’t think we humans are meant to ever be completely on our own, no matter how much we prefer it.
I believed at the time that perhaps I was better cut out for acting, though my heart still leaned towards singing for the crowd. Despite landing major roles, if it didn't involve singing, I’d still look on wistfully at the other actors singing.
‘Wicked Oz’ (2018) - I wanted this role because Young Elphaba was a primarily singing character and I just fell in love with Defying Gravity when I heard it.
‘Tunas Berseni: Adat Eyang Hilang’ (2018) - My first major production with Sri Warisan! This was my first year with them.
‘Once Upon A Weave’ (2018) - first time I wrote a script! A parody of sorts of Tangled the movie. Here, I play Mother Gothel.
November 2019, I found the courage to give music a try. The pandemic happened though, along with national exams, so I wasn’t very sure how to proceed. Looking back, I recall that year as my ‘practice’ year. I learnt how to dance, observed and acted out performances, tried out writing lyrics, learnt the basics of piano.
March 2020
This is genuinely so embarrassing to watch 😭😭 but, it is very much real and raw footage of my beginnings in learning - and appreciating - dance properly.
November 2020
I am not shy to say that I made a lot of progress in the span of 8 months, and I am proud of it too! I have to say that BTS and Jimin especially was important in developing what I know to the next level in the dance and stage presence department.

2021, I was determined to showcase my musical side and build my portfolio there. I formed a band, fourfit, and we became a part of NXT by Singapore Street Festival.
